Swedish striker Tor Immo strengthens EHC Freiburg

Swedish striker becomes part of the wolf pack

EHC Freiburg announced on Monday morning (07/18/2022) which player will fill the third contingent position in the squad in the coming DEL-2 season. From Orlin Znojmo from the international ICEHL, the wolves bring the Swedish offensive player Tor Immo to the Breisgau.

The 27-year-old left-handed shooter originally started his ice hockey career with the Swedish third division club Oloströms IK, where he quickly made a name for himself as his team’s top scorer.

In the 2017/2018 season he then went up to league two, where he was able to collect points with many goals and assists in the coming years. In 2021/22 he worked for the Bratislava Capitals in the ICEHL before moving to Znojmo. His offensive yield there was 30 points in 36 games. In the coming season, Tor Immo will be chasing points with the number 62 shirt for EHC Freiburg.

“After we had already tried to score in the past, we are now very happy that it worked out,” says EHC sports director Peter Salmik about the transfer. “A commitment seemed impossible for a long time. We continued to watch him the whole time. He’s a good size and we’re convinced that he’ll get us the goals we need.” Head coach Robert Hoffmann attests the Neu-Freiburger “great physique and an amazing wrist shot.”
