Until today, Yasin Abullahi Mahamoud’s involvement in the kidnapping of another Swedish rapper has been a big mystery.
It turned on New Year’s Eve, when Yasin was arrested. He was then suspected of having been involved in planning the kidnapping.

According to Aftonbladet they are connected to the criminal Vårbyn network in Stockholm, and are accused of having planned murder, bombing and for serious violations of the gun law.

It is now known that Yasin is accused of having planned or participated in a conspiracy to abduct the kidnapped artist. He is not charged with the kidnapping itself, the Swedish police believe it was someone else who was behind it.

Yasin’s role in the case is, according to the indictment, among other things that he has tried to trick the other artist into a trap.
According to Aftonbladet, there are now more details about how the kidnapping took place. That the artist must also have been threatened with a gun and knife and scratched in the face.
The artist is also said to have been forced to hand over a weapon, two gold chains and his Rolex, a watch worth several hundred thousand kroner, was stolen. In addition, he is said to have been threatened to make him pay the kidnappers a large sum of money.
According to a press release from the prosecution, the perpetrators also planned to place a bomb outside the victim’s apartment to make him pay. The bomb was seized by police.
Among the evidence are logs from the encrypted chat tool Encrochat, which French police cracked down on this spring and which led to a number of arrests across Europe.
