King William Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands are on a state visit to Sweden and for the first time Princess Estelle was able to join as a guest representative.
The UK website Royal Central writes that the ten-year-old “took the lead” when the royals posed for the press on Tuesday.
King William Alexander is Estelle’s sponsor and there was a cordial reunion between the two when Estelle entered the palace to greet the guests.
King William Alexander made sure the younger one could pose in the middle when the official photos were to be taken.
Estelle wore a checkered dress for the occasion.
Princess Estelle is the eldest daughter of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and thus the second in line to the throne after her mother. She has several sponsors and Crown Prince Haakon is one of them.
Swedish DAM writes that Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, which is her full name, was also present during the private state lunch later in the day.
