Swedish Man Shot Outside Sports Hall in Moss – Police Theory Suggests Trickery | NRK News

On 28 November, a Swedish man in his 30s was shot several times outside a sports hall in Moss. He was seriously injured, and has still not been questioned by the police.

A police theory is that the victim was tricked into going to the crime scene, NRK has previously been told.

Now NRK can tell what unfolded in the minutes before the man in his 30s was shot.

Swedish court documents show that he received a number of text messages from the same sender on November 28.

At 1.20pm, the man in his 30s is sent the address to Mossehallen. He also receives a message with the time “17:00”:

At 4.47pm, around three and a half hours later, he receives another message from the same sender:

At 16.50 he receives a text message that says “Peugeot 208 brother”. He also receives a picture of what is supposed to be the inside of the same type of car.

At 16.52, two minutes later, the Swedish man in his 30s is shot several times.

In a video that captured the sound from the crime scene, nine shots can be heard being fired.

Witnesses are said to have seen two men drive away from the scene at high speed. Around 45 minutes after the shots were fired, a Peugeot 208 drove out of Norway across Svinesund.

Three men are charged with attempted murder or complicity in attempted murder. None of them plead guilty.

– He knew nothing

One of the accused, a 19-year-old Swedish man, was extradited to Norway on Friday.

He is charged with complicity in attempted murder, but denies guilt and has requested to be released.

– He knew nothing about what happened in Moss. He only became aware of it when he was arrested, and the police told him about the relationship, says the 19-year-old’s defender Sille Heidar to NRK.

On Friday, he was remanded in custody for three weeks with a letter and visiting ban. He must also spend one week in solitary confinement.

Linked to rental car

– We believe that this person has an accomplice role, especially with regard to the rental car that is said to have been used in the incident, says police attorney Christian Gjølberg Finnanger.

The police have still not questioned the man who was shot in Moss on 28 November, says police attorney Christian Gjølberg Finnanger. The picture was taken on 22 December when the 20-year-old was requested to be detained.

The rental car the police are linking to the incident in Moss was picked up at a petrol station in Vetlanda in Sweden two days before the shooting.

The police believe it was the 19-year-old who rented the car.

According to court documents NRK has gained access to, Swedish police are said to have identified him through video surveillance images from the gas station.

He must also have signed the lease with his own name.

Questioned on Thursday

A total of three men have been charged after the shooting incident, which the police link to Swedish criminal networks:

The 19-year-old, a 20-year-old man and a 25-year-old. None of them plead guilty.

The 20-year-old was extradited to Norway on 22 December, and has been in custody since then.

On Thursday, he was interviewed by the police for the first time.

– As he agreed to extradition to Norway, he wants to contribute to clarifying the case, said defender Brynjulf Risnes after the questioning.

The 25-year-old has not yet been extradited to Norway. He has an ongoing criminal case in Sweden.

Prosecutor Finnanger assumes that the 25-year-old will be extradited to Norway in January.
