Three years ago, 46-year-old Stellan Johansson from Sweden took the internet by storm when his sensational “kiwipizza” went viral.
The pizza was basically a classic Hawaiian pizza he had ordered at a restaurant, where the pineapple had been replaced with kiwi.
Received death threats
Stellan shared a photo of the pizza on Facebook, where reactions poured in from both friends and acquaintances.
Talk about fish – the viewers rage
The somewhat special meal spread like wildfire, and a short time later he received messages and comments from people all over the world.
The happy Swede received, among other things, death threats from both Italy and France. However, he took them very calmly, he assured Dagbladet at the time.
Stellan said that the pizza was meant as a joke, and that it was therefore extra funny with all the response.
It is nevertheless clear that the pizza commitment has paid off:
Now the man from “Söta bror” has done it again.
– Don’t try again
On 3 June this year, Stellan once again wanted a pizza out of the ordinary.
This time he went for a ham pizza topped with banana, watermelon, kiwi and lemon.
According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen Stellan is said to have said that the pizza is inspired by the Swedish music duo “Hooja” who are behind the song “Banana, melon, kiwi and lemon”.
But even though the pizza looked both fresh and fresh, and the topping almost qualified as “one in five a day”, it was not a hit, we are to believe the 46-year-old:
– It went down, but I won’t order it again, he says to the newspaper.
He says that the watermelon was quite tasteless, but that the kiwi and lemon were better than expected.
So it was the banana that dragged down the culinary experience, we are to believe the food-loving Swede:
– I didn’t like that at all. It was far too slimy. But, the banana is in the song, so I had to, he continues.
This year’s flavor combination also makes people react:
– Have the death threats been received?, asks a Facebook user.
– This is “next level”, comments another.
Stellan himself writes that he blames “Hooja”, and adds that it was not very tasty.
– Paid NOK 3,300 for this
Brought fruit
Stellan says that he himself has to take the fruit to the restaurant where the pizzas are fried. The Swede also tells Expressen that the restaurant owners laugh when they see him, since he has become a household name in the area.
When asked about further pizza projects, the 46-year-old replies that he has nothing planned at the moment, but that he will take it as it comes.
– The Italians are probably holding their breath, he comments.
Dagbladet has not succeeded in getting in touch with the pizza-loving Swede.
