Sunday’s World Cup relay, 4×7.5 km in Gällivare, became a successful blue-yellow skiing story.
The Swedish women’s team started the day by taking home the victory. Next, the men’s relay awaited – and then Sweden was close to a big bang.
After the first stage, which Johan Häggström drove for Sweden, it was very even with several teams in a large tight cluster. On the second stretch, Sweden then made a slight push through Calle Halfvarsson and Norway.

When Halfvarsson switched to Leo Johansson, Sweden was in the lead – and when Johansson switched to Edvin Anger in the final stretch, the lead was intact.
On the last stretch, Sweden, Norway and Germany fought for the victory. Germany fell behind for a while and it ended up being a battle between Sweden and Norway.
A fight that Norway won.
Jan Thomas Jenssen made a move and crossed the finish line ahead of Anger, who took home second place for Sweden. Third place went to Germany and Sweden’s second team was seventh.
