The Junior Hockey WC in Gothenburg is now entering a more serious stage where it is win or lose. Victory for Sweden in today’s meeting with Switzerland and they are ready for the fight for the medals.
The home team go into the fourth quarter-final as favourites, where the result will directly determine how the subsequent semi-finals will be played. In the last ten years’ quarter-finals, Sweden has emerged victorious out of eight, and you can count on a lot of support in the stands tonight. Drop-off takes place at 19:30 at Scandinavium.

Magnus Hävelid makes his second junior WC as the national team captain for the Junior crowns. He has previously won the U18 World Cup with Småkronorna on two occasions (2019, 2022), where at the latter medal he had several of the names from this year’s JVM squad.
Marcel Jenni is in his fourth season as national team coach, where during the first three years he mainly worked with the U18 team. In this way, just like Hävelid, he has a good habit of working with the players who are now with him in Gothenburg. During these tournaments, the journey has ended in the quarter-finals, which we can now hope it will do again.
