Sweden: Man killed after his son was wanted on TV

DECIDED TO SEARCH: Chief Prosecutor Ingrid Isgren in the Prosecutor’s Office in Uppsala.

On Thursday evening, Swedish police released the name and photo of a wanted man. Four hours later, the 25-year-old’s father was shot in his home.

Published:

The father, who was in his 50s, was killed in his home in Tullinge outside Stockholm. He is said to have been shot in the upper body, according to Swedish media.

The murder is said to have occurred while a woman and two minor children were in the home, according to the report The evening paper.

So far, no one has been arrested.

The police received a report about the shooting at 00:11 on Friday night.

THE SCENE: The man in his 50s was shot and killed in his home in Tullinge, just south of Stockholm, on the night of Friday.

Wanted on TV in prime time

According to Aftonbladet, the victim of the night’s murder should have no criminal history, but his 25-year-old son should, on the other hand.

Just four hours before the murder, the 25-year-old was wanted by the Swedish police.

It happened in prime time on TV – in the live TV program “Efterlyst”, which is broadcast at 8pm on Thursdays on Swedish TV3.

SOCIAL MEDIA: This is how the request that the TV program posted on Facebook looked yesterday. The two are charged with an attempted murder in Uppsala in January.

The 25-year-old and another man are charged with attempted murder after a shooting incident in Uppsala on 19 January.

The police believe that the two fired about 20 shots at a home where relatives of the gang leader “The Kurdish Fox” live.

Chief Prosecutor: Terribly tragic

The investigation into the attempted murder in January is being led by the Prosecutor’s Office in Uppsala, which is the local prosecutor’s office.

In consultation with the police, it was the Prosecutor’s Office that decided to call for the 25-year-old by name and photo during Thursday’s TV broadcast.

– Now we don’t know for sure if there is any connection, but it’s terribly tragic if there is, says chief prosecutor Ingrid Isgren to SVT.

According to the chief prosecutor, there are no fixed guidelines for when and how information about wanted persons is shared in the media. It is up to the individual investigation manager, according to Isgren.

The chief prosecutor says that sharing information about wanted victims produces good results.

REMOTE CONTROL: Swedish police believe “The Kurdish fox” controls much of the serious gang crime from Turkey, where he is said to be at the moment.

Linked to gang warfare

The murder of the 25-year-old’s father is linked to the conflict between the designated gang leaders “The Kurdish Fox” and “The Greek”, which is said to be the background for a number of shootings, explosions and acts of murder and violence in Sweden in recent months.

An anonymous source says the following The evening paper:

– The shooting last night is probably revenge for the shootings in Uppsala. Whether it was a mistaken shooting, that the wrong person was shot in the hunt for the son, or whether a relative of his was deliberately shot as revenge, is still unclear. But innocent people have been shot before.

According to Expressen, the conflict between the two gang leaders is about control over drug sales in various parts of eastern Sweden.

Both of the two gang leaders are currently said to be in other countries, including “The Kurdish fox” be in Turkey.
