Sweden introduces digital certificate for COVID-19 vaccinated

The move follows similar decisions by other EU countries amid the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.

“This is hard news. We all want the pandemic to end,” said Minister of Social Affairs Lena Gallengren, adding that the certificate will be accepted from December 1.

Culture Minister Amanda Lindh said that it is not necessary to show a vaccination certificate, but those who cannot show one will have to comply with certain restrictions. She added that event organizers should decide what the restrictions should be.

Vaccination passes will not be valid in restaurants yet.
