Sweden has achieved something unprecedented with the K-19

Sweden has had zero coronavirus deaths in recent weeks. According to the World Health Organization, no deaths have been reported in the kingdom since July 14 due to coronavirus.

More than 10 million doses of vaccine have been used during the vaccination campaign in Sweden, meaning that about 50% of the country’s population has already completed the full course of coronavirus vaccination. Sweden has recently registered an average of 400 to 600 infections per day, which is only 6% of the maximum daily average recorded in December last year.

In June, the Swedish government decided to extend the travel ban to Sweden from the EU and the European Economic Area.

Exceptions are individuals who can provide a vaccination certificate, a negative coronavirus test result or the presence of antibodies. The ban is valid until August 31. There are no entry restrictions for residents of Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway.

In total, more than one million cases of coronavirus have been registered in Sweden since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 14.6 thousand people have died.
