Sweden drops test requirements for travelers from the Nordic region

The rule change was announced on Friday afternoon.

The requirement for a negative test will continue to apply to travelers from other EU and EEA countries. It continues for the rest of the month.

The general entry ban for persons from third countries is extended until 31 August. To be exempt, one must meet strict criteria in addition to submitting a negative coronate test.

Swedish citizens and persons residing in Sweden, as well as transport workers and persons under 18 can already enter without restrictions.
