While the Czech team did not play the match for more than a year due to coronavirus, the Swedes managed four preparatory matches before the championship. However, coach Bašný’s ward did not frighten the favorites, with whom they had not been successful in recent years, and kept up from the beginning.
The Northerners, the sixth team from the previous year’s Euro, led most of the time in the first half, but by a maximum of two goals. Kudláčková, who works in Kristianstad, Sweden, was successful among the poles in the Czech goal, and thanks to her interventions, the outsider kept a promising draw of 13:13 at half time.
The entry into the second act went even better for the Czech team. The national team scored the opening three goals and for a while had a surprising three-goal lead. Then came the decisive phase of the match.
