Sweden admits the possibility that it could produce weapons for the needs of Ukraine, Swedish Minister of Defense Peters Hultqvist said at the conference of Western countries in Copenhagen.
At the conference of defense ministers of 26 Western countries in the capital of Denmark, three main directions for long-term support for Ukraine were determined. Sweden, which has provided 120 instructors to train Ukrainian soldiers, could also produce weapons for Ukraine.
“I don’t rule it out, but it’s too early to talk about it. We are positively participating in all three directions, but ultimately we see how we bring it all together in one place,” said Hultqvist.
According to him, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic have already announced that they can help Ukraine with the production of weapons.
“It is about using production lines in different countries to produce weapons that can be directly delivered to Ukraine,” said the Swedish defense minister.
The Swedish Ministry of Defense previously announced that it was joining the list of countries participating in the training of Ukrainian soldiers in Great Britain.
