Latvijas banka “Swedbank” warns its customers that, unfortunately, many may be left with an empty account. The representatives also explain what could be the reason for this.
A little about Swedbank’s operations
Swedbank’s operations are effectively managed by a centralized authority that oversees six distinct divisions – Swedbank Sweden, Swedbank Baltics, Swedbank Financial Markets, General Services, Swedbank International Operations and Swedbank Asset Management and Insurance.
In Sweden, Swedbank additionally owns Swedbank Hipoteka (lending), Swedbank Finans (financial services), Swedbank Card Services (credit card processing services), Swedbank Fastighetsbyrå (brokerage services), Swedbank Juristbyrå (legal services) and Swedbank Företagsförmedling (small and medium-sized).
Swedbank also has partial ownership in Ölands Bank, Eskilstuna Rekarne Sparbank, Färs och Frosta Sparbank, Swedbank Sjuhärad, Bergslagens Sparbank and Vimmerby Sparbank, as well as a joint venture with BarclayCard, EnterCard, which operates in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Not long ago, the bank’s representatives warned all their clients that, unfortunately, very soon, many residents may be left with an empty account if they do not familiarize themselves with this information!
