Swedbank and SEB banka will not serve unvaccinated people in person

Starting from Monday, October 11, unvaccinated persons may have problems receiving banking services in person. Swedbank and SEB banka have announced that only persons with Covid-19 certificates will be served in person. SEB banka admits that in case of emergency it will be decided how to receive the service for such a person.

On-site visits to Swedbank branches will be available from October 11 only to persons who have a valid Covid-19 certificate confirming the fact of vaccination or illness.

Swedbank encourages customers to take into account the emergency measures implemented by the government and to take the opportunity to receive remote advice from the bank; Branch and face-to-face consultations will currently take place only in compliance with the highest requirements of an epidemiologically safe environment, Jānis Krops, Swedbank’s media relations manager, informed the NRA portal.

For customers who have not yet obtained a Covid-19 certificate, the bank offers remote service options through video consultations, the help of the bank’s virtual assistant, as well as chat options.

Swedbank reminds that from the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Swedbank branches have been working according to the previous visit. Even now, customers who plan to visit a bank branch need to register in advance. At Swedbank branches, customers will be served only by those employees who have been vaccinated or become ill with Covid-19.

However, taking into account that the emergency situation will affect the operation of large shopping centers on weekends and some ATMs are located on the premises of these shopping centers, Swedbank urges customers to plan their cash needs in advance by choosing one of the almost 370 available ATMs.

“SEB banka” will also provide customer service in the so-called “green mode” from Monday, October 11, informed the bank’s private communications manager Jelena Novaka.

This means that from October 11, residents who have been vaccinated or become ill with Covid-19 will be able to receive banking services in person. In case of urgent situations, when an unvaccinated person has no other option than to solve his / her situation in person, it will be possible to decide on customer service in person, observing all epidemiological safety requirements, informs “SEB banka”.

SEB banka will contact customers who have a valid appointment for a face-to-face meeting at the branch individually to discuss the possibilities of receiving the required service.
