A session of the Jura Assize Court will take place at the Lons-le-Saunier court, from January 15 to 29.
The day of January 15 will be dedicated to the revision of the jury list. On January 18 and 19, the session will begin with a file concerning an incestuous rape of a 15-year-old minor. From January 20 to 22, the next case is a rape and sexual assault on a minor. Mondays and Tuesdays January 25 and 26, another rape and sexual assault on a 15-year-old minor. On January 27, 28 and 29, the session will end with a rape of a 15-year-old minor. A closed session may be requested in each case, since the victims are or were minors at the time of the facts.

Is there an explanation why all of these crimes are sexual in nature?
“The bulk of criminal cases in France, in general, concern sexual offenses. “
Has a post #metoo speech release taken place?
” Not yet. The Me too phenomenon is recent and the criminal investigation lasts between 18 months and 2 years. For the most complex cases, the investigation requires much longer investigations. Since the 1980s, speech has been loosened, slowly, gradually, at the same time as society is freed. “
