The artist could not be called the soul of the company.
It was the game of Jennifer Gray and Patrick Swayze that made the melodrama Dirty Dancing one of the main films of the 80s. The picture instantly became a cult and does not lose its popularity so far, however, not all fans know that initially the artist was not going to act in the same film with Swayze.
The fact is that before that they had worked together on Red Dawn. And on the set, the artist, as Gray later admitted, behaved extremely unacceptably. He constantly joked about her and other artists, which made working with him unbearable.
“I couldn’t take it” — admitted the artist.
As a result, Gray even planned to refuse the role, but already at the audition, Swayze apologized to her. The actress forgave her colleague and is still sure that the chemistry that arose between them made the film so popular.
