(PLO) – A well-dressed young man entered a phone store in District 10 pretending to buy goods and then swapped a model phone worth 200,000 VND for an iPhone 14 ProMax worth about 24 million.
On October 14, District 10 Police, Ho Chi Minh City verified and clarified the case of a young man pretending to buy to exchange a model phone for an iPhone 14 ProMax.
Previously, a clip and content of a young man swapping a model phone for an iPhone was spread on social networks.
According to research, the incident happened at a phone store on 3/2 Street (Ward 10, District 10) owned by Mr. NVG. The developments were recorded by security cameras.
Mr. G said that on October 12, a young man wearing a mask, carrying a bag, and dressed quite smartly came to the phone store pretending to buy a black iPhone 14 ProMax 128GB.
When the employee brought out the phone box, he asked to get additional accessories such as cases, backup chargers, headphones… for advice.
When the employee was taking out the requested items, the young man took a box containing the same phone from his pocket and quickly swapped it.
To make everything seem natural, the young man pulled out a phone from his pocket and pretended that someone was calling and then walked out of the store.
Mr. G said that after the young man left, the staff saw that the phone box was still on the table so he was not suspicious. When I checked carefully, I was shocked to discover that the phone inside was a model phone, worth only about 200,000 VND.
The victim said the swapped iPhone was worth about 24 million VND.
