Kuwait City: As part of the evacuation of bachelors in residential areas of Swadeshi, electricity connections in buildings continue to be shut down in various parts of the country. Over the past month, electricity has been cut to around 100 buildings in Farwaniya Governorate.
Authorities say foreign bachelors should not stay in Swadeshi’s residential areas and have been warned to leave early. The inspections are conducted jointly by the Ministry of the Interior, the Department of Civil Information and the Ministry of Hydroelectric Energy. It has been decided that native housing areas across the country will completely evacuate foreigners who are not living with their families. Authorities said the overabundance of bachelors has led to an increase in drug and alcohol use.
Authorities are preparing for a broad inspection in the country. The reason for the presence of bachelors was that the natives divided the apartments into different parts and rented them out to foreigners for economic gain. The authorities have said that vigorous action will be taken against these building owners.
