Julia Anatoljewna Swiridenko – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, former Deputy Head of the Office of the President, former First Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. Acting Governor of Chernihiv Oblast (2018).
Place of birth. Education. He was born on December 25, 1985 in Chernihiv. In 2008 she graduated with honors from the Kiev University of Trade and Economics, specializing in ‘Competition Policy Management’, with a Master’s degree in Competition Policy Management. In the same year she started studying for a doctorate at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics in the field of ‘Economy and Management of the National Economy’.
Career. She started her professional career in 2008 as an economist for financial affairs at the Ukrainian-Andorran joint venture AO ‘AMP’ (Kiev). She then worked as an expert at the Chernihiv Interregional Technical Register Bureau, as deputy director of LLC ‘Eco-Vtor’ (Kiev).

In 2011, she was appointed chairman of the Permanent Mission of Chernihiv in Usi (PRC).
Since May 2015, she has been an adviser to the Governor of Chernihiv Oblast, Velery Kulich.
Since August 2015, she was the head of the economic development department of the regional administration of Chernihiv Oblast.
From September 2017, she fulfilled the duties of the 1st deputy governor of the regional administration of Chernihiv Oblast, on March 14, 2018 she was appointed as the 1st deputy governor of the regional administration of Chernihiv Oblast.
She was the acting governor of Chernihiv Oblast from July 30 to November 28, 2018.
From March to September 2019, she was the director of LLC ‘Sidko Ukraine’, which specializes in food for wild birds and processes organic products.
In September 2019 she was appointed Deputy Minister, and from July 2020 she was the First Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
On December 24, 2019, she was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Compulsory State Unemployment Insurance Fund of Ukraine. Member of the delegation to participate in the Tripartite Contact Group, representative in the working group on socio-economic issues.
On December 21, 2020, the government voted to dismiss Yulia Sviridenko from the post of First Deputy Minister of the Economy at her own request.
From December 22, 2020 to November 2021, she was Deputy Head of the Office of the President, replacing Julia Kovaliv in this role.
On February 26, 2021, by order of the President of Ukraine, she was removed from the Ukrainian delegation to participate in the Trilateral Contact Group.
On May 31, 2021, Yulia Sviridenko was elected to the Supervisory Board of NJSC ‘Naftogaz Ukraine’ as a state representative.
On November 4, 2021, the Parliament appointed Yulia Sviridenko as Minister of Economy to replace Alexei Lubchenko.
