Regarding the elections for the presidency of SYRIZA – PS, he emphasized that “it is an open process, and we call on every left-wing and democratic citizen to support it”, while in response to a question about the turnout, he emphasized that “at the moment, there is a very big rally in the ranks of SYRIZA”.
As he characteristically said, “the left-wing citizens will also give a resounding response to what we have seen in the last few days, which resulted in a politically immoral act, that of apostasy”.
For the loss of the position of official opposition by SYRIZA
In response to a question about the loss of the official position of the opposition, due to the independence of MPs, Mrs. Svigou emphasized that “no one has the right to violate the will of the Greek people in such a way” and that “the Greek people are the ones who determine the order of the parties, who will be the government, and who will be the official opposition”.
“It is an oxymoron to invoke intra-party democracy, with lies and slander, in order to violate democracy, as expressed by the vote of the Greek people in the elections,” he commented. He argued that “only SYRIZA-PS can be a strong, reliable, militant opposition and not an opposition which will be convenient to the system. And precisely for this reason, because we were not and will not be an opposition convenient to the system, there are plans to liquidate and devalue it.”
He added in the same context that “arguments are being used which were mostly used by the anti-SYRIZA front and various post-institutional centers…”.
In a question regarding the greeting of Alexis Tsipras at the presentation of the book by A. Kotsaka and H.
