/ world today news/ The political pre-election platforms, with which the parties go to the early vote for the 44th National Assembly, remind the previous practice of promising a lot and setting high goals, only to penetrate large social groups, to take an interest in party aspirations. The promises are necessarily spoken by the party leader with the pathos of discoverers and with the denial of opponents or predecessors. And of course to be full of good intentions, without particular specifics.
It seems that this time the Bulgarian will be forced to choose according to preferences. And his sense of honesty will be suppressed by the beautiful and confused phrases of the party leaders. Even before the election campaign started, it showed that in the so-called in political circles, no one is looking for consensus – not among themselves, not the consensus of party members with economic lobbies, but the consensus that we all need – with ordinary citizens, with those who are already disenchanted by the political apathy of people in power.
After President Rumen Radev declared that “change is inevitable”, politicians regardless of the color and spectrum in which they gravitate, as one repeated that “change is necessary”.
GERB leader Boyko Borisov announced that “the time of my tolerance is over.” BSP Chairman Cornelia Ninova said from the rostrum of the party congress “BSP is the only party that heard the people’s desire for change and started it from itself”
The change in GERD is quite pronounced. At the announcement of GERB’s mayoral candidacies for the local elections, Borisov was on the other side and said: “Let GERB’s position be one of tolerance, of help, and in the coming decades we will be repaid with gratitude.” Bulgarians have proven their tolerance.” I wonder when he is tolerant? – when he is sure of the election victory, or when he trembles from the reactions of the disgusted Bulgarians, who clearly signaled that he does not count on support. And they pulled out a program of 50 pages, on which in 19 departments, identical to the ministries in the “Borisov-2” cabinet, they laid out their vision, decorated with good intentions.
Kornelia Ninova, on the other hand, in search of support from ordinary people, promised that “BSP will save Bulgaria from the parallel state of the mafia and corruption.” According to her, the mafia has a parallel state that costs the Bulgarians 10 billion. But this will end when the BSP takes power. “We will close this parallel state. We will lay the foundations for another in which the state has its role in the economy,” she declared. The ministers from the last GERB government immediately jumped in and told her how many hundreds of millions the BSP program will cost the Bulgarians.
BSP announced before the election that it was time for justice. According to its leader Ninova, it is “the only party that heard the people’s desire for change and started it from itself.” The leader promised that the party would change Bulgaria, but warned that the decisions taken at the congress were only the first step. And the second – the change is yet to come.
As their direct party commitment, the socialists announced the recalculation of pensions. As a social commitment, they are even in favor of doubling the funds of the fund for the treatment abroad of disabled children and simplifying the procedures. For teachers, they see an opportunity to increase their salaries by 15% at the beginning and by the end of the mandate the increase will reach 40%.
The platform also recorded achieving real economic growth of no less than 12% at the end of the four-year period of governance. The BSP is committed, if it comes to power, to impose a double tax on incomes over BGN 10,000. Working young families will receive a BGN 50 tax reduction per child.
Among the highlights of the pre-election platform are the creation of an “Innovations” fund, an “Industry” fund – one to support small and medium-sized enterprises, the other – to make the business environment more attractive and retain young people in Bulgaria. Among the pre-election intentions of the socialists and to their partners from the “BSP for Bulgaria” and the fingerprint for the hospitals, they stated that it should be balanced. The general talk about intentions did not pass the topic of culture and art.
In the bidding, GERB did not lag behind – it produced a 50-page program in which there are few specifics, each department was clearly developed by the ministers until recently with the same name as the corresponding ministry. In the program document, in essence, there is no topic of socio-economic life that is not affected – a party document, distant from the specifics of everyday life of Bulgarians. Flowing logorrhea in style has money we will double the salaries of the teachers, then the policemen and doctors will follow. And the ministers rushed to pre-election meetings to declare how feasible the promises were, in contrast to those of the opponent. And in fact, at the meetings, the listeners are the same – sympathizers and supporters, to whom new approaches are not needed.
The leader of GERB and who has already resigned twice from the post of Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, only a few days ago announced in Plovdiv at a press conference about the priorities of GERB that the time of his tolerance is over. This was meant to sound like a threat to his opponents. Shortly afterwards, in Veliko Tarnovo, Borisov added to the bag of promises that GERB intends to combat the demographic crisis by introducing the so-called three-child model and will pay salaries to grandparents who look after their grandchildren. The party also offers state support for the birth rate.
GERB calculated that it is achievable for the minimum wage to be BGN 650, BGN 1,500 to be the average wage. According to them, Bulgaria should apply for participation in ERM 2, the threshold of the Eurozone. GERB’s promises from 2014 and now sound like “copy and paste”. Then in the pre-election document they had written: It is time for bold decisions. Improving the lives of Bulgarians and increasing incomes can only be achieved after a lot of effort from everyone – politicians and citizens. So it’s time for work, a lot of work. Because only stable governance can lead to development and a growing economy.
And now social and household promises abound with beautiful phrases for a bright future. Suddenly, education also became a priority.
For business, the promise is – transfer of the bureaucratic burden that worries business to the administration. The justice reform was NOT omitted either – there is everything… and nothing. Not to forget – a lot has been written about the fight against corruption.
In his comments on the elections, Borissov said: “What the people want, that’s what they will choose. The people want something else – there is nothing more democratic than GERB”. An inflated self-confidence similar to the muscle-blowing of bodybuilders. And change? Look for it with a magnifying glass.
With the self-confidence of a good player, Veselin Mareshki now gambles on election victory and entry into power and boldly thunders the previous ones to prove what good things he plans to do with the new “Volya” formation.
Young families should receive a one-time grant of BGN 1,000 for each newborn child up to the third for parents over 21 with a minimum secondary education. The minimum pension should be BGN 230.
Youth housing loan. The state should give young families the opportunity to buy homes at a price of 300 euros per square meter with interest-free repayment for 10 years. The state – to be a slave to business and still bright thoughts in the form of pre-election promises. To make the picture complete, Mareshki proposes majority elections in two rounds and melting the party subsidy to 1 lev.
“The most brutal robbery of Bulgarians comes from the fuel trade, where more than 2 billion BGN are stolen from the people. Only with this money, Bulgaria can be different tomorrow. Such slogans are usually used in search of blinded sympathizers. “My the cause is to conquer Bulgaria from the corrupt politicians. We looked at each other, listened to each other, suffered each other”, says the leader of “Volya”
DPS are not in a hurry to announce their priorities, rather they tend to summarize the party’s position in the current pre-election situation. They are making a request that they will return to the political scene. The DPS structures in Kardzhali region are unanimous – the list for the upcoming parliamentary vote should be headed by the honorary leader Ahmed Dogan. After the “rocket carrier” in the leading position, the asset arranges the chairman Mustafa Karadai and his deputy Hassan Aziz, who is the mayor of the regional city and therefore refused to join the competition. The participants voted for a list of 66 candidates for people’s representatives in the 44th National Assembly, arranged in alphabetical order. And this political manifestation has a particular sharpness in our country as well, because everyone measures their political place in relation to the DPS”, said Azis. He added that at the present moment the DPS has stabilized the political system from the point of view of crossing different borders – the border of tolerance and crossing into the field of populism and nationalism. “At this stage, only and only DPS stands in the center and sets nationally responsible behavior. DPS appears as a stabilizing factor of the political system in the country and sets the boundaries between populism and nationally responsible politics”, he also announced.
“United Patriots” also played with the voters by announcing that “The interests of the Bulgarians are important to us”.
NFSB, Ataka and VMRO registered with the CEC as “United Patriots” for the parliamentary elections. The first thing they did was to announce how GERB and BSP used their political program. Volen Siderov even commented that “we could have appeared together in the elections”. The NFSB loudly announced that both the GERB and the BSP were copying their campaign agenda in the areas of the economy, energy, health, education, defense, homeland security, justice, taxes and income, and listed a series of ideas, attributing them to themselves, that were now borrowed from the top two players in the party race. One should feel sorry for how unappreciated these patriots remain.
And so those preparing to enter the race to break the 4 percent barrier and enter the next 44th parliament are ready to do anything, handing out promises to demonstrate that they have ideas, that they are looking for change. And she – the change comes from each of us, but they – the politicians are introspective and think that when they like their navel, that is enough to spin in the roulette for power and everyone believes that the centrifugal forces will not throw them out , and will land on the winning spot. But politics is not gambling. Bulgarians need honesty, not hypocritical standards that are thrown at them. We wonder what else our ears will have to hear in the beginning of the election campaign.
