Sven, who owes his fame mainly as a band leader in the music program Matthews continues, quickly lands in third place on the game show. His opponents Aimée and Jörgen, on the other hand, are doing considerably well. In the final, however, Sven has to compete against Aimée, the editor-in-chief of the Volkskrant magazine.
While the 160 seconds on Sven’s clock seem promising, it’s nothing compared to his opponent’s position. Aimée enters the final with 248 seconds on her clock. After all, it is not the first time for Aimée that she has been in this phase of the game. “You are experienced,” says presenter Philip to the editor-in-chief. He also encourages Sven: “She [Aimée, red.] is sometimes a bit fragile at this stage. (…) Well, I mean, you don’t have a chance.”
Despite the motivating words, Sven still gets stuck. For example, when asked ‘what do you know about Cinderella?’ only guess the word ‘fairy tale’ correctly. When Aimée manages to win with 91 seconds on her clock at the end of the game, he puts everything in the shoes – or slippers – of the fairytale character. “I couldn’t get to it anymore. Cinderella killed me,” he tells Philip. “Mean that Cinderella,” replies the presenter.
