The end of the trip was marked by a visit to… Safe hubs from AMANDLA in Cape Town. It wasn’t the first encounter with SVW Partner of the Bundesliga. During the 2019 winter training camp, the Green-Whites visited a safe hub in Johannesburg. Werder was now on site again as the official league ambassador for a training session and a virtual talk session with Günther Stoxreiter, athletic trainer for the men’s Bundesliga team.
“It was a great honor for us as Werder Bremen to have been part of the delegation trip,” said Kupilas, who added: “The stay was a perfect opportunity to maintain existing contacts, but also to create new connections. We also had the chance to explain our internationalization approach to the delegation participants and received a lot of positive feedback. As part of our internationalization strategy, South Africa is an important target market that we would like to promote with various activities in the future. Getting your own impression of the local conditions was not only a unique experience, but – especially on this special trip – also a great privilege.”
