“After Marco’s situation looked quite good yesterday afternoon, it unfortunately deteriorated significantly overnight, so we carried out further examinations this morning, which revealed a tear in the syndesmotic ligament,” explains Clemens Fritz, head of professional football at SV Werder Bremen.
