It was a long time ago: On August 11th, 2010, when TuS Heeslingen lost 2: 5 in the round of 16, SV Ramlingen / Ehlershausen played in the NFV Cup for the last time. Now there is a comeback for the league climber: On Wednesday at 7.15 p.m., the team of coach Philipp Gasde will meet Lupo Martini Wolfsburg in the qualifying round.

The RSE still has an outstanding bill to settle with the league competitor. On October 3rd, the team suffered a 2-3 point defeat. “It was the weakest game of the season, we have to make up for something,” said Gasde, who is determined to reach the round of 16. The national league team TSV Krähenwinkel / Kaltenweide would be the next opponent there. “We have great ambitions in this competition and will give everything to advance,” says the RSE trainer. Gasde: “With the right attitude, advancement is possible.”
First of all, the Lupo Martini hurdle has to be overcome under floodlights on the B-Platz in Ramlingen. “If we show the right attitude and great commitment, like against SVG Göttingen, then revenge and advancement is possible,” says Gasde, who has to rotate the staff. In defense, Timo Gieseking (groin problems) and Christopher Weindl (muscle strain) are out. And the trainer will also allow other actors, such as Steffen von Pleß, who has been most frequently used to date, to take a break.
Newcomers could make their debut – just watching with a chair
Due to the stress in the English week – the game against FT Braunschweig follows on Sunday – there will be changes in the team. In the starting line-up, the newcomers Lasse Neubert and Utku Kani or Hannes Müller could help ensure that the Ramlingers reached the second round of the Lower Saxony Cup for amateurs again, as they did over ten years ago.
