Promoted SV Meppen won the northern duel of the women’s soccer Bundesliga. The Emsland side beat Werder Bremen 2-0 (2-0) on Sunday and now have a seven-point lead over the Hanseatic side, which are in the first relegation zone. Lisa Josten (24 ‘) and Anna Margraf (37’) scored for Meppen in the first half.
