SV Hohenfurch is still waiting for its first win of the season after a 0-3 defeat against TSV Gilching II.
Hohenfurch – It wasn’t just the rain that made SV Hohenfurch leave the pitch rather dejected after the final whistle. The long faces of the newly promoted team from the district league 2 were mainly due to the 0:3 home defeat against TSV Gilching II. “We can’t let our heads hang,” said SVH coach Christopher Resch, trying to cheer up his team after what was now their sixth game without a win.
In the second half, Hohenfurch proved that they are definitely competitive in the district league. “We put our stamp on the game,” said Resch. However, Hohenfurch was unable to erase the legacy of the weak first half. “We completely slept through the first quarter of an hour and slept for half an hour,” said Resch, summing up the start of the game, which was a botched one from the hosts’ point of view.
In this phase, the Hohenfurch team were just extras against the strong and ball-safe reserves of the district league team Gilching. The guests were allowed to do as they pleased for 30 minutes. Gilching took the lead at the very first opportunity because the SVH could not clear a corner – Max Gröbel (2nd) scored to make it 1-0. Half a minute later, former Raistinger Aaron Schetelin hit the Hohenfurch post. Fabian Boitin (15th) then took a more precise aim and was able to score the 2-0 unhindered in front of the goal.
Several shots hit the aluminum
With two further good opportunities for the visitors through Tobias Hänschke (29th) and Dominik Schäffler (31st) – his header was blocked off the line by an SVH defender – the home team were lucky not to concede another goal. Shortly before the break, Gilching had two more goals (42nd, 44th) that hit the crossbar. Before that, Nico Schönfelder (38th) had the chance to score again with Hohenfurch’s only good chance. He got around the goalkeeper before a TSV defender cleared the ball.
After the break, SV Hohenfurch tried to put more pressure on. The visitors’ defense allowed little except for a shot from Richard Schratt (56th). “The play was better, but the effectiveness was lacking,” said Resch, whose team threw everything forward in the closing stages. Nico Prinzing (70th) and Michael Grimm (79th) failed to put the ball in the net when they had the chance. TSV veteran Tobias Hänschke (90th) did better, however, shortly before the end, sealing Gilching’s victory with a low shot to make it 3-0. (Roland Halmel)
