SV deputy leader Torgeir Knag Fylkesnes received NOK 477,000 tax blow

He reports VG.

Fylkesnes has previously confirmed that he will receive a tax credit, but the amount is not known. VG had access to the recent changes to the politicians equations. Last fall, a total of 38 former and current top politicians received tax complaints for using free commuter housing.

– The tax claim is due to the partial letting of the apartment in Tromsø, Fylkesnes tells VG.

Fylkesnes is mentioned as one of the candidates to take over as SV leader after Audun Lysbakken.

Two other SVs also received large tax claims. Freddy André Øvstegård gets a tax benefit of NOK 323,989, while Mona Lill Fagerås has to pay a tax claim of NOK 194,733.

– The Norwegian Tax Agency believes that there are “excusable circumstances”, such as that they received incorrect information from the Storting and because the Storting’s administration has regularly clarified tax law matters with the Norwegian Tax Agency. Furthermore, tax matters are a matter between the Swedish Tax Agency and each individual representative, says Siri Gjørtz, communications manager at SV.

VG wrote on Sunday that FRP politician Himanshu Gulati also received a fiscal blow. For him, the amount was NOK 60,829.
