Jakarta –
Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) type cars have an increasing sales trend in Indonesia. Market interest, which was initially dominated by MPV to LCGC cars, has now shifted to SUVs.
This moment certainly will not be missed by PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS). This Japanese car manufacturer claims to focus on the production of SUV cars and is accompanied by the development of electrification in its flagship line.
Currently, Suzuki has presented a line of SUVs such as the XL7, Ignis, S-Presso, which recently received an update, and also the Grand Vitara, which has just been launched. It is even rumored that Suzuki will soon bring the Jimny 5 Door to Indonesia.
Donny Ismi Saputra as 4W Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) said that indeed for some time to come, Suzuki will focus on introducing new SUV cars and also refreshing the cars in the SUV line. Donny said that Suzuki’s strategy had started to materialize since the update to the S-Presso and the launch of the Grand Vitara.
“So in the future we will introduce one of these products and be able to refresh our SUV products, the S-Presso is one example, with the addition of new features, then the Grand Vitara. Then in the near future there will be refreshments for the SUVs that we produce domestically. and we plan to also refresh or extend the model of our legendary SUV line-up,” said Donny some time ago.
Apart from focusing on the SUV line, Suzuki is also focusing on electrification of the car models that are the backbone of its sales. This electrification strategy itself has started to be realized since the existence of the All New Ertiga Hybrid, Grand Vitara, and the planned arrival of the XL7 Hybrid.
“There are several strategies this year, the first is to focus on the electrification of our backbone models, the second we will strengthen our SUV line-up, and the third we focus on selling (models) that we produce in Indonesia,” concluded Donny .
