265 unit Suzuki XL7 Hybrid produced in Cikarang, West Java, began to be exported to four countries in Central and North America. PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) as the manufacturer cooperates with PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal Tbk (IPCC) as a loading and unloading partner.
This delivery is Suzuki’s first step in planning to export the XL7 Hybrid to 24 different countries. Production Planning Control Assistant to Dept. Head of Suzuki Indonesia, Wijananto Jati Pradono emphasized that the entire process has been according to plan.
“According to our plan, the first export of the New XL7 Hybrid has started on August 11 and 12 to 4 countries and will continue to other countries in Asia and America,” said Wijananto through his official statement, quoted on Wednesday (30/8) ).

According to Wijananto, the XL7 family is indeed in demand by overseas consumers. In the previous variant (non-hybrid), the export portion reached 39 percent.
“We believe this positive record is a strong foundation that the international market is also looking forward to updating in terms of technology on the XL7, so that it becomes a more environmentally friendly vehicle with a tough and stylish outer appearance,” he said.
In early August, Suzuki officially made exports to 4 countries in Central America and North America consisting of Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras and Mexico. Later, this global expansion will continue until the end of 2023, where Suzuki targets to be able to export 2,000 units to various countries around the world.

It is claimed that the global expansion carried out by Suzuki will bring the XL7 Hybrid to more than 20 countries with different characteristics and consumer needs.
“The initial step in distributing the XL7 Hybrid to countries around the world is expected to be able to meet the needs and be able to accompany the daily mobility of global families. As the XL7 has always been ranked as the highest export model for Suzuki Indonesia,” he said.
