The information that has developed since Tuesday (3/4) regarding Suzuki not only affects the team’s internals, but also raises various other issues within the rivals’ bodies.
If Suzuki really pulls out and there will be an vacant place for another team, then Aprilia is allegedly going to immediately annex the land.
Aprilia, which this season has shown increasing momentum with positive results from Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales, will no longer be allowed to carry out independent tests in 2023 and must rely on the five engine units agreed at the start of the season.
In order to maintain the team’s ability, Aprilia could explore cooperation with the Leopard Racing team to fill the one slot left by Suzuki. In addition to the news about the collaboration between Aprilia and Leopard Racing, there was also the issue of Aprilia’s duet with the WithU RNF team, which is still using Yamaha engines.
