Jakarta –
Emergence issue Suzuki Salute 125 in Indonesia it has been busy since three years ago. In fact, it is said that the retro-style automatic scooter has already been tested domestically. However, until now, the units have not been sold in Indonesia.
M. Razwankaizar as Section Head Domestic Sales & Digital Marketing 2W PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) said that his party could sell the Suzuki Saluto earlier in Indonesia. The problem, he said, is whether consumers are ready for the high prices or not?
“There are many who want (the Saluto to enter Indonesia), but there are many considerations, especially regarding price. Because it is definitely an import, yes, our consideration is price. If the motorbike comes here, the price will definitely be high,” said Razwan when met by detikOto, recently.

Suzuki Saluto is a motorbike produced in a Taiwanese factory. According to Razwan, this vehicle does not have the status of a global product and is only marketed in limited markets in certain countries.
Meanwhile, according to global strategy, he said, his party was required to launch the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 first in Indonesia rather than the Saluto.
“Because we are one of the global production companies from India. So we will introduce this (Burgman Street) first, which will definitely be accepted by consumers. The market for 125cc motorbikes is good, yes, the Saluto is also 125cc, but there are considerations, one of which is a global decision,” said he.

It is known that the Suzuki Saluto is equipped with a 124cc single-cylinder engine with an air cooling system. This provision makes the motorbike capable of producing 9.2 horsepower and 10 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, fuel consumption is claimed to be economical, namely 51 kilometers per liter.
This vehicle is also equipped with a number of contemporary features, for example a sophisticated semi-digital instrument panel, LED lighting, a smart keyless system, and many more.
If in the future it enters Indonesia, the Saluto could become a new competitor to the Yamaha Fazzio, Yamaha Grand Filano and entry level motorbikes made by Vespa.
