“The journey from Shanghai West Railway Station to Huaqiao takes about 45 minutes. As early as 2013, Shanghai Metro Line 11 was connected to Kunshan Huaqiao, becoming the country’s first inter-provincial subway operation. In June this year, with the completion of Suzhou Metro Line 11, the subways of the two cities became interconnected at Kunshan Huaqiao Station. The success of the “Double 11” cooperation has enabled the main urban areas of Suzhou and the main urban areas of Shanghai to be connected by subway.

Not only the subway, but also new progress has been made in the construction of inter-provincial dead ends between Shanghai and Jiangsu. Since 2018, the inter-provincial dead-end road connection project between Shanghai and Jiangsu has continued to accelerate. At present, all six “dead-end roads” included in the first batch of China Unicom plans have been opened, further shortening the travel distance and commuting time for residents of the two places.

At the Zhenghe International Container Terminal in Taicang Port, shuttle buses are loading containers. After a while, it will leave from here and head to Yangshan Port.

Under the Shanghai-Taitong customs clearance and logistics integrated model, enterprises can transfer goods between Taicang Port and Yangshan Port. Whether they are imported or exported, the declaration, inspection and release of goods can all achieve “one declaration, one inspection and one release”. ”, greatly improving customs clearance efficiency. The customs clearance time of each shipment of goods is saved by about 20 hours on average, and the logistics cost of each container is saved by 600 to 700 yuan.

“Shanghai-Pacific Link” started in 2015. As the integration of the Yangtze River Delta has become a national strategy, the business volume of Taicang Port’s “Shanghai-Pacific Link” has shown explosive growth. Nowadays, the capacity of the “shuttle buses” opened from Taicang Port to Yangshan Port has been expanded to 13, with one bus every 8 hours. It can be released directly after the agent declares it in the morning. In the afternoon, it can be loaded to Yangshan Port and transferred to a larger ship to go to sea. This has greatly reduced the number of buses. Time costs.

Sun Sifan, director of central control of Taicang Zhenghe International Container Terminal Co., Ltd., said that Taicang Port has become an extension station for the ocean liner route of Shanghai Port, strengthening Yangtze River transit, and transferring foreign trade containers from the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River such as Chongqing, Wuhan, Changsha, and Jiujiang to Taicang Port. , and then transfer to Yangshan Port. From January to September this year, the total import and export volume exceeded 130,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 71%.

A Taipu River connects Suzhou, Shanghai and Jiaxing. On the river, staff from the three places patrolled the river together, and collaborative pollution control has become a normal task.

In 2019, the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone was established. For the management of cross-border rivers and lakes, the three places began to explore joint protection and co-governance. Without breaking administrative affiliations, breaking administrative boundaries, the water affairs departments of the three places passed the “Joint Rivers and Lakes” “Long-term Director System”, which promotes unified progress in water system connectivity, river obstruction clearance, bank slope regulation, water source conservation, etc., and promotes collaborative management of 47 cross-border water bodies including the Taipu River. Currently, the three places have appointed more than 300 joint river chiefs. The lake is long and covers all inter-provincial boundary rivers and lakes. According to the latest testing, the water quality compliance rate of the national examination sections of rivers and lakes within the demonstration area reached 100%.

Shen Xiaohua, secretary of the Party branch of Fenhuwan Village, Lili Town, Wujiang District and village-level joint river chief of the Taipu River, said that the general secretary emphasized that the Yangtze River Delta region must strengthen joint protection and joint governance of the ecological environment. Now, the concept of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang around the Taipu River insist on coordinated management. In the past, the situation of “relying on the wind to blow and blowing to whichever side” will no longer happen. The water surface is cleaner and the water quality is better.
