After two draws at the start of the season, things have really started to settle in Brann. The people of Bergen are clearly at the top of the table with ten wins and two draws during the first 12 rounds of the series.

Today’s 2-1 victory means that they now have eight straight victories in the series. This is a new club record, according to Brann’s own websites. In 1956/47, 1967 and 2018, they also won seven games in a row.

During the winning streak, Brann has scored 26 goals, ie over three goals on average. Against Bryne, they also shot out of the starting blocks and went into what could seem like an endless attack on the Jærbu defense. After 13 minutes of play, the first goal came.

Brann top scorer Mathias Rasmussen received the ball from Kasper Skaanes and placed his seventh goal of the season with a controlled finish from the right edge within the penalty area.

Only Start sensation Jonatan Braut Brunes has scored more goals than the midfielder in the OBOS league.

In the 3-0 victory for Start, Stjørdals-Blink had to put an outside player in goal. See why in the video below.

Brann got several giant chances to put 2-0 in the first half. It was therefore unbelievable that Rasmussen’s goal remained the only one after the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Bryne was better on the notes, but with a quarter of an hour left, Skaanes put in 2-0 with a controlled finish.

A Brann player should score again, but in his own net. Bryne hit a corner against the first post, and there Felix Horn Myhre stunned the ball over the goalkeeper and in his own net.

Thus, there was excitement towards the end, and not many minutes later Bryne was just a good save by Mathias Dyngeland away from equalization and 2-2.

Instead, Brann could breathe a sigh of relief and cheer for a new club record.

Brann tops the table with 32 out of 36 possible points. Ranheim is the closest team at the back of the table with 24 points. In the next round of the series, Brann will visit Start in Kristiansand.
