Mumbai: An explosive-laden van was abandoned in front of Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai. On Thursday, an SUV filled with gelatin sticks was found outside Antelia on Pedar Road. The Mumbai Crime Branch has registered a case and is investigating the incident. When the explosives were found in the vehicle, it was found that the vehicle loaded with explosives had been left here with the intention of carrying out the blast.

After receiving the information, policemen from Gamdevi police station went to the spot and inspected the SUV. The bomb squad also arrived at the scene. Authorities searched the vehicle and found about 20 gelatin sticks. Mumbai police said security has been beefed up in the area following the incident. Commandos have also been deployed. Officers from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Maharashtra Police also visited the spot where the car was found. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.

Police said they were investigating the incident and crime branch officials were examining all CCTV footage in the area. The Mumbai Crime Branch is currently investigating and ATS officials are also looking into the possibility of any terrorist attack in the incident.
