The Finnish watch brand Suunto came to the market with a powerful sports tester, i.e. a watch that is aimed at athletes. This corresponds to the designation of the watch – Suunto Race. It is a wrist accessory that has received a titanium frame surrounding the AMOLED display, a side crown and also a battery that will keep the watch alive for up to 26 days. That is, on the assumption that you turn off the heart rate measurement and do not record the exercises that have taken place. If you keep both functions active, the watch will last “only” 12 days.
The display is provided by a 1.43″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pix and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, which is embedded in a 49mm glass fiber reinforced plastic pumpkin with a titanium frame. The display is covered by sapphire glass, the 22mm straps are made of silicone. The watch weighs 69 grams and are resistant to immersion to a depth of one hundred meters.

The watch measures your physical activities, can register more than 95 sports activities, and measures heart rate or its variability (HRV). Suunto Race also monitors your rest level, the artificial intelligence trainer motivates you to perform even better and at the same time optimizes your training plan. The watch also includes a pedometer, sleep monitor, dual-band GPS with offline map data from Open Street Map. The watch connects to the Suunto app on the phone via Bluetooth. It displays notifications on your wrist, can respond to them from the watch (only on Android) or control music.

Suunto Race with a steel frame went on sale immediately after the premiere. You can get them in black and gray for example on the manufacturer’s Czech website, for 10,960 CZK. The titanium variant in the same shades will come to the market later, priced at CZK 13,390.
