Suswono’s clarification regarding the words of rich widows marrying unemployed people

Candidate for Deputy Governor of Jakarta number 1 Sweden to apologize and at the same time provide clarification on the proposed comments a rich widow marrying a young unemployed man.

Suswono admitted that the statement made in front of the volunteers had caused a polemic.

“I understand that my statement at the meeting with Bang Japar volunteers has caused a polemic, for this I apologize, and at the same time retract the statement,” Suswono said in his statement, Tuesday (29/10).

Suswono emphasized that this statement was in no way meant to offend the marriage of Prophet Muhammad SAW and Khadijah.

He explained that the statement was made in response to comments made by one of the residents who attended the socialization event with volunteers.

“However, I admit that the joke was inappropriate and clever. Regardless of the explanation, I fully admit my mistake,” he said.

In addition, Suswono stressed that his statement did not represent the program of his party with Ridwan Kamil

He said that he and Ridwan Kamil would be committed to the empowerment program for weak and vulnerable groups.

Before that, Suswono’s statement had sparked polemics in various circles of society. In fact, PP Muhammadiyah also corrected Suswono’s statement.

Muhammadiyah said that the idea that Prophet Muhammad SAW was unemployed before he married Khadijah was wrong.

Muhammadiyah said that Fet Muhammad had worked as a sheep herder before he got married.

Muhammadiyah also emphasized that the marriage between Prophet Muhammad and Khadijah was not a normal marriage. Rather, this marriage was an important milestone before the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad.
