Sustainable Hiking Gear: Discover Maier Sports’ Recyclable and Renewable Products

With the development of recyclable products, the brand has now taken the next decisive step in this mission. The company has been a member of the internationally renowned Fair Wear Foundation since 2011.

With the “LATIT” hiking pants, Maier Sports has closed the recycling cycle – without any “ifs and buts” and as one of the first in the outdoor industry. The “LATIT VARIO” made from recycled PES yarn can be recycled again to make a high-quality Maier Sports product again. It is highly elastic, with a cuddly “Vario” waistband and a great fit.

The versatile “METOR REC” hiking jacket, the top-selling jacket in the Maier Sports range, is now available in a single variety. With a polyester membrane and an outer fabric made of 100% recycled PES yarn – another model in the brand’s closed product cycle. The future-proof classic with a small pack size is waterproof, windproof and breathable thanks to mTEX 10,000 technology.

The sustainable hiking and leisure pants “VERIT” are made from 57 percent biodegradable hemp and recycled PES yarn. Perfect for moving in nature. Thanks to dryprotec technology, the trousers, which are available for men and women, dry quickly. The cuddly comfort waistband promises high wearing comfort and five pockets offer plenty of storage space.
