This value-increasing scheme was instituted in 2017 as a compensation for the syrupy settlement of the earthquake damage. Residents who have at least a thousand euros in damage can spend an amount of up to four thousand euros on, for example, solar panels, insulation, a heat pump or other energy-saving measures.
