Sustainability Education at Buchwedel High School

„OBS FOR FUTURE“

Education for Sustainable Development – what is that?

BNE is the abbreviation of Education for Sustainable Development.

What is meant is an education that enables people to think complexly, sustainably and act empathetically: How do my decisions in the present influence current and future life on this planet? What are the effects of my consumer behavior, the choice of my means of transport, my energy consumption?

At the same time, education for sustainable development goes beyond the mere imparting of knowledge about climate change and its consequences. Through their own commitment, the students experience self-efficacy and experience their ability to act.
