The 35-year-old suspect, who is from Dollard-des-Ormeaux, will return to court on May 18.
He briefly appeared by video conference at the L’Orignal courthouse on Tuesday in the early afternoon.
According to his lawyer, Me Alan Brass, discussions between the defense and the Crown are still ongoing.
The case, the latter said, requires further disclosure of evidence.
Recall that the doctor is accused of the first degree murder of Albert Poidinger, 89, of Pointe-Claire.
The work of the Ontario Provincial Police investigators includes the deaths of at least five patients with COVID-19 who died at Hawkesbury General Hospital between March 17 and March 25.
