On Monday morning, just after 11.00, the police received a report that a dead man had been found at a private address in Sør-Karmøy. The police have launched an investigation to clarify the course of events and whether anything criminal has occurred.
– We are now working with various hypotheses. The case is being investigated as a suspicious death, says police attorney Fredrik Martin Soma, according to a press release.
The scene has been cordoned off, and a forensic investigation is now underway. The deceased has been identified and the police are now working on notifying the next of kin.
– We are in an early phase of the investigation and must be restrained with information until further notice, says Soma according to the press release.
At 19:00 on Monday evening, the police are still at the scene with forensics.
