The blood donation campaign scheduled for this Wednesday and Thursday in Ceuta it has finally been suspended due to the serious events that are being experienced in our city due to the serious migration crisis in recent days.
As announced by the Cádiz Transfusion, Tissue and Cell Center, this blood donation campaign is suspended, sending a message of encouragement to all the mackerels in the face of the extreme situation that has been suffered in recent hours. In this way, there will be no blood campaign, which was scheduled to take place in Revellín, which already involved a change of location.
The campaign was scheduled for this Wednesday the 19th and Thursday the 20th of May, in the morning from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It was going to be held in the Revellín, a new place that is normally held in the Autonomous Palace, but that place is now occupied for the vaccination campaign. In addition, the last time a blood donation campaign of this type was carried out in Ceuta it was taken to the Antonio Campoamor pavilion.
The Transfusion, Tissue and Cell Center of Cádiz recalled that health centers “need a greater contribution of blood donations. Every day we need 180 blood donors”, before which he asked for help and solidarity of the Ceuta, who has always been at the forefront in this type of thing, demonstrating its conscience with this type of initiative.
Donating blood is “a simple gesture that saves or improves the lives of three patients,” they recall and for which it is worth raising awareness among the population and awakening their solidarity so that they donate blood, as happened in the last campaign in the autonomous city. Now it will not be possible, but in the near future they will return to Ceuta.
