Dallas police are investigating an attempted kidnapping in the 16900 block of Old Pond Drive in Dallas.
Preliminary investigation determined that a group of children were outside when a young Hispanic man in a white pickup truck approached them and asked one of the children to look at something in the back of his vehicle.
The boy ran and witnesses reported that the suspect chased him for a short distance. The suspect then left the scene.
Dallas police are looking for a white Toyota 4 Runner pickup truck, Texas license plate number THS-9209.
The second possible vehicle involved is a dark-colored Chevy pickup truck that was stopped in front and to the side of the white pickup truck.

ANOTHER INCIDENT IN RICHARDSON
Meanwhile, Richardson police are investigating a resident’s complaint about a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be following a student walking to school yesterday, Monday, August 12, at approximately 8:20 a.m.
The driver was recorded on a home surveillance camera driving back and forth on the street several times in the 900 block of Melrose Dr.
The student went to a nearby residence to avoid the driver, and said the suspect did not say anything or communicate with the student. The vehicle’s license plate number was not available.
The driver was described as a bald, dark-skinned male, possibly Hispanic, between 20 and 30 years old. The vehicle appears to be a black 4-door Toyota Corolla S, 2014 to 2016 model.
