Last week, a huge amount of cocaine was intercepted in a warehouse in Antwerp. With this catch of no less than 4,100 kilograms (photo), a few Surinamese from the Netherlands arrested. An important part of the suspects appears to come from Amsterdam-Zuidoost.

Nine men were arrested during the raid, all with Dutch nationality and between 20 and 39 years old. Five more men were arrested later that day. These are Dutch people between the ages of 18 and 39, the Public Prosecution Service in Belgium reports.

The suspects are linked by initiates to the same group as the previous one Genciel “Genna” Feller shot dead in Curaçao (23) and in Southeast liquidated former footballer Kelvin Maynard (32) writes the Dutch newspaper Het Parool.

According to rumors in the underworld, these murders were the result of the theft of a batch of 400 kilos of cocaine. That would have been the property of the famous Surinamese Piet Wortel. Wortel told these stories through his lawyer Adam Doesburg opposite The Parool incidentally, rather as “sheer nonsense”.

The fact that a group of suspects from Southeast is now involved in this enormous drug case further increases the tension in the local criminal environment, the newspaper writes.
