EAST SOUBURG – The police are investigating a possible shooting incident in a residential area in East Souburg. As far as is known, no one was injured.
The police control room was called around 10.15 p.m. with the report that shots had been fired in Platanenstraat. The police conducted a further investigation in the street. Halfway down the street, officers posted a cone over something found here. A police spokesperson said that an initial investigation has shown that shooting was suspected.
Police say they are interviewing witnesses and are investigating further. “Details about the how and what are still missing. No one was injured,” the police said. The street was still cordoned off with red and white ribbons around 1.15 am. A forensic investigator has photographed the crime scene and searched the street for traces.
