Police are looking for a suspected serial gunman who opened fire on three homeless people in Soho in the past two days, killing two, sources said.
The sinister frenzy began Friday on Howard Street when the killer casually approached a man in a green sleeping bag, according to surveillance video seen by The Post.
The shooter kicked the sleeping man, looked around to see if anyone was watching, then pulled out a gun and shot him point-blank in the head, the disturbing footage showed .
The victim died, and the shooter, dressed in all black with blue gloves, fled, sources said.
Authorities believe his rampage continued at 5 a.m. Saturday, when a man was shot outside 54 King St. by the unknown assailant, according to police sources. This victim had to survive his injuries, they said.
About an hour later and about a dozen blocks away, a man was shot in his sleeping bag outside 148 Lafayette Street, sources said.
That victim was murdered by the suspect around 6 a.m. as he braved freezing temperatures and a winter storm, surveillance footage showed, sources said.
His bullet-riddled body was found in his sleeping bag 12 hours later, they said.
Police reportedly canvassed the trendy Manhattan neighborhood to see if any other homeless people were being targeted by the deranged killer.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more, and we don’t know yet,” said an interviewer.
