NEW YORK – Police are searching for a man who they say assaulted and sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a park in the Bronx on Monday.
The suspect, last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers and a black hat, grabbed the 13-year-old victim as he walked home from school in Crotona Park, according to police. He then threw the teenager to the ground, took off some of their clothing and assaulted her.
Police say the man stole the victim’s phone and then left.
The teenager was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released, according to the NYPD.
In its search for the suspect, the police department released images of the suspect Thursday and asked anyone with information to call the Stop Crime line at 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
