NEW YORK – A suspect has turned himself in to authorities in connection with a shootout during a card game outside Manhattan’s famed St. Patrick’s Cathedral late last month, law enforcement sources with knowledge of the case said Monday. .
It was unclear what charges he would face in the downtown August shooting that sent tourists and New Yorkers seeking shelter.
At the time, police said the suspect pulled a gun during a three-card game after a man gambled money and a gold chain and refused to hand them over when he lost.
No injuries were reported, but a bullet shattered the window of a nearby car.
